Room was clean and staff friendly...food was acceptable overall the stay was good value for money. The golf course was fine...the driving range needs an overhall. The stay was good value for money and I would recommend the hotel and I intend to stay there again.
Food was okay...I ate in the bar area for that night.
we went on a golfing break to this hotel, what a wonderful location to play golf. The course was beautiful the greens were superb. We booked at the last minute and the course was very busy over the weekend, our t time for sunday was quite late so the pro organised for us to play on a different set of 9 so that we could play in the morning. They couldnt do enough to help.We had a meal in the evening, one of the bests meals i have eaten in a long time, again the staff in the restaraunt were very helpful.we will certainly be going back again very soon.
Really friendly staff, spotlessly clean hotel. Good size rooms, excellent price. Couldn't fault it.
The room was excellent, views amazing, clean comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble.
Given the size of the room, the tv was on the small side.
The executive rooms are of a basic design but clean and fresh/new. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is relatively isolated so a quite night is assured. Hotel restaurant food again is elementary but cooked well and very edible. I arrived late for breakfast (restaurant closes at 9 am week days) and staff still serve me with a smile. The view across the North Sea is to die for and the area is 'safe'. A great location for walking if you have the time. I visit the area for my work 9 miles away and will certainly use this hotel again.
great views over the golf course to the sea. Shame our room had no view.
lots of stairs for people with disabilites. awful thin toilet paper.
Excellent customer service, in all areas. Comfortable restaurant overlooking the sea; lovely quality of food well presented and served, excellent value.
Room very warm at night although not heated. Unable to open windows.
Good sized family room - clean new cot - greater choice at breakfast- friendly staff
Ordered baked beans on toast and 2 veggie sausage for breakfast for 4 year old - full adult sized veggie breakfast sent out -everything but what ordered went to waste when arrived after 10 pm night staff vague about best route to room with luggage only issued with one door key - electrics needed key to work -made settling in with 6 week old and 4 year old harder as trying to bath kids and keep opening door for hubbie
Stayed for one night. Staff friendly, rooms clean, bar food and breakfast great. Worth paying extra for stunning view of the north sea. Great for golf, but also a good location to stop on a trip up the east coast.
We stayed at this hotel for the beautiful location and booked a double room but requested sea views. We were delighted to be upgraded to an executive room with panoramic sea views on check in. The room was clean and very comfortable, its a pity the windows arent a bit bigger to fully appreciate the views. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, providing us with details of walks in the area. Can't comment on the food as we stayed on a room only basis.
Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable food. Beautiful location.
Our "garden room" overlooked a huge mound of earth with no view at all. The wifi in our room did not work. At 8am there was no hot water for bathing or showering. The parts of the "carefully tended" gardens we saw were decidedly unkempt. The bar had run out of the only real ale stocked and the only alternative was fizzy, chilled pressurised beer.
The room was lovely, with a panoramic sea view. The hotel was tastefully decorated and very clean. All the staff were very friendly
The food served in the evening was a disappointment. Prior to this we stayed in another golf hotel where we were served gourmet food, perhaps our expectations were therfore too high. That said, the breakfast was excellent.
Comfortable bed Location The view
I arrived at 9;30 pm following road closures to be told no food was available as the kitchen staff had left. The surly receptionist said a sandwich could not be provided. Went to my room cold and hungry to find the radiators off.and the room cold Miserable evening The TV is too small for the room
The Hunley is a lovely inn on the coast of England. The view is outstanding and the staff is quite capable. We stayed for 7 days and had wonderful food and outstanding sightseeing in the local villages. The location is convenient to the trains and the buses. We would love to visit again in the summertime.
We had a small issue with our shower, but it made for quite a few good laughs.
the newly refurbished rooms are a significant improvement - a good standard of finish.
The "condemend" fire extinguisher on the landing. SUGGESTION: The landing doors should be fitted with hold open devices (interfaced to the fire alarm) to facilitate easy transit along the corridor.
